Firstly, thank you for your
support through what has proven to be a very difficult year for everyone,
not only in business but life in general.
To date, we have done
everything we can at Purdys to try and limit our customers from the
effects and delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. It's been tough but
managable and our customers, employees & suppliers have all been great in
As of Thursday 6th August, the state
Government lockdown means the Purdys showroom will be temporarily closed
to retail sales. We will try and adopt a 'click & collect' style
arrangement over the next few days but more on that later. The more
unfortunate side to this is that our workshops are also required to cease
work on our residential orders. The workshop will remain open, albeit in a
limited capacity with limited staff and a very strict Covid Safe plan in
place. We are only permitted to service our commercial customers in the
healthcare & construction sectors deemed 'essential works'.
feel your current order with us would be deemed 'essential works' by the
state Government, please help us to continue working on your order by
contacting the relevent authorities to obtain confirmation of this.
With such a busy June & July taking orders of our custom made timber &
upholstered furniture, our order bank was already sitting at 12-weeks and
unfortunately, this is now going to be extended by a further 6 weeks due
to the lockdown. We understand this will be frustrating for all of
our customers and we do sincerely apologize.
